i was charged and arrested for petit larceny an violation of section 155.25. I am 18 years old an was caught shoplifting $87 worth. Is there anyway i can clear this off my record. The policemen said i might have a chance if a parent comes. What do I do to clear my record?
Unfortunately no. The actions you make once your 18 stay on your record for the rest of your life. But you can make it look better, I would get a lawyer asap and see what he can do. It may cost some money but its worth it for your future.
If you were charged and arrested if the lawyer can convince them to drop charges then you will be clean. It won't show up if you go to get a job, or apply for federal service stuff like that.
Let me re-emphasize don't just let this go, get legal help and advice. I am a cop, and I am actually currently in Law school at the same time. I plan on being a lawyer eventually. Once this hits your permanant record it never leaves.
Well good luck! What do I do to clear my record?
you can't sorry,(DON'T LET it turn into a conviction though!) you're on a computer somewhere till the end of time, and it sucks. good luck and don't waste too much time or money trying. again don't let it turn into a conviction get differed adjudication or something similar.
Damn kids and your thieving ways.
