How is any prospective employer going to know about a misdemeanor from 1993? Even if it's a drunk driving conviction, your driving record info will only go back 5 years in most states. No employer will ask about it, so don't volunteer to tell.
i think you can apply for a pardon...but how long would a misdameanor stay on your record? I thought only 7 years...?

Was it a Charge, or a Conviction? Were you an adult or a minor? The only way possible to completely remove such a thing may be if you were a minor. That is why they call it a criminal history, history cannot be deleted.
