Can I clear a Misdemeanor on my record? What do I do? =(?

I recently got arrested for a stupid misdemeanor. Anyways I have court and the thing I did was soo dumb...I do not want it on my record though! is it worth getting a lawyer to help? Would he be able to try to help clear my record?? (i did get my pix and fingerprints taken) Or should I just go and plead guilty? This is the 1st time i was arrested, so I'm almost positive the judge will put me on probation or give me fine...but the whole point is I want it off my record, so what should i do?? This is the first time i got arrested! Can I clear a Misdemeanor on my record? What do I do? =(?
If your under 18 it will be ';sealed'; when you turn 18. If your older than 18, you can not get it off of your record. I don't know if this varies from state to state or not.Can I clear a Misdemeanor on my record? What do I do? =(?
Get an attorney and attempt a pretrial diversion agreement. That the case would be continued for 6 months to 1 year, you would remain on bond, and be law abiding. If you make it - then the prosecution would dismiss the charge %26amp; no conviction record. If you don't then you return to court on the same charge - kind of like an unofficial probation.
if you did it, your guilty and have no option but to have it on your record.. most states its five years? Then you can go and petition to a judge to have it removed so long as you have been a super goody goody since.
In Georgia you can request a first offender plea if you haven't done so on other charges. If you finish probation without violating the misdemeanor will be removed from your record.
Sorry, you need to take responsibility. It cannot be taken off your record even if you get probation. Good luck.
you wait five years. if no other charges are filed against you petition for expungement.
What did you do? That's important for us Y!A trolls to know so we can properly ridicule you and maybe even help a little.
