Too soon. You cannot get it expunged that soon after the incident. In ten years, maybe, but not now.Can i get my misdemeanor expunged and cleared from my record.?
depends on the state laws and what individual laws are allowed to be expunged, you would have to call the court that you appeared in and ask them and see what the process is to get it expunged. However just because it is expunged does not mean that military, federal agencies, and public service agencies will not have access to it. Most states will expunge records and it will not show for private companies only and military, public safety, public service, and federal agencies still have access to your prior record even though it was expunged. Check with the court and see what the state law is for expunged records, and ask your recruiter the same things, if they will have access to an expunged record.
It will depend on what state you got the Misdemeanor from. Each state has a different way of doing things. In Texas, you need to qualify with these criteria: arrested but never went to court, charges were dropped, charges were dismissed, you were found not guilty, you were no-billed by a grand jury, you won on appeal, you were pardoned by the governor and in limited cases, even if you received deferred adjudication probation.
The best person to help you with this would be a lawyer. No one knows the law better than a lawyer. They will help you with getting it expunged and they can tell you what your options are.
