Is my record cleared?

I was recently charged for a crime I have not committed. I got arrested and everything. I went to court and the case was dismissed. Does that mean that my slate is wiped clean and the arrest is off my record???Is my record cleared?
As noted above, you have no criminal record, but the arrest record and your prints are still on file. One thing I wanted to add here. Check with the Clerk of Courts in the jurisdiction you were arrested in. Most jurisdictions allow for the expungement of the arrest record if the case is dismissed. If your area allows this, the Clerk's office will have the motion packet to fill out. Submit it back to the Clerk's office and you will notified by mail when it is taken care of.

Best of luck and I hope this is useful to youIs my record cleared?
No, you have an arrest record, but no convictions. Even dismissed charges are retained in the NCIC database. Your fingerprints are also now in the AFIS database.
