You CAN get criminal offenses removed from your record, but it is exceedingly difficult. Expungements, as they are called, are rarely given, and only for very special circumstances (the conviction itself was overturned, etc.). Also, the more severe the crime, the greater the difficulty: for example, felonies are generally more difficult to expunge than misdemeanors.
You need to refer to a lawyer, who can give you definitive advice on whether or not your situation(s) qualify your offenses to even be *considered* for expungement. You never know if you don't ask!
