The best plan is to seek legal advice on an unmoderated internet forum.
The next best plan would be to talk to a lawyer. What do I do I was arrested but never convicted I want the arrest cleared off my record?
Contact an attorney, see if you can get your record expunged.
Without knowing the jurisdiction, no answer is possible.
I would not fret over it. Cheer up! There is still a great chance you will receive that job. You have to
realize that you were never convicted regardless of out come of the verdict. Plus you obviously have other qualifications that matter the most.
BEST OF LUCK TO YOU!
Leave it on your record. government officials can see things the public can't.if you erase it well cast you a pretty penny.Plus it doesn't coast anything by leaving it on you record. Attorneys well tell you that nobody can see it and that is true except government officials. also if the person from the state has to do less research the better. ask several attorneys.
I am only familiar with California law, but most jurisdictions should have a similar process:
1) Petition the court for a finding of factual innocence.
2) Petition the court for an order sealing or destroying arrest records.
Note that expungments are for convictions, not arrests. Also, even if the record of your arrest is destroyed, you may still have to report it in many circumstances.
