How do you clear my good name from a criminal record you did not commit ?

in 1997, i was charged with a flase crime and during a polygraph exam/police interview, i was on heavy medication and no lawyer and afer 3 1/2 hrs and under duress, i told anything they wanted to hear without thinking.

i was arrested and got a court appointed lawyer and he told me to take a plea bargain of 4 years in prison with 6 years probation , because he sayed if i took it to trail, i would lose.

what can i do to clear my name because i have a written statement from the victim that this crime never happened and she was on drugs. How do you clear my good name from a criminal record you did not commit ?
Since you are saying this all happened ten years ago I'm assuming that you have already accepted this plea deal a long time ago. So I'm also assuming you served your time in prison in accordance with your plea deal. Now that you are out you are trying to clear all of this off of your criminal record is that it?

Well if I am reading your question correctly I'm sorry to say that you have very little chance of getting what you want accomplished. While it is not impossible to overturn a plea deal, it is something that is seldom done. You can try to get your plea deal reversed on the grounds of innefective council, but it is so rare that a plea deal is ever overturned that I don't think it is even worth your while.

In order to have accepeted that plea you had to have appeared before a jude and you and he should have had a discussion about the nature of the plea. (IE: whether or not you understood what you were doing, the recommended sentence, and the fact that you would be pleading guilty to a crime.) That means a judge decided that you were of sound mind and that fully understood what you were doing. Getting that ruling reversed will be nothing short of a minor miracle.

The court costs and legal fees you will likley incur even to attempt this probably makes this something you should think very hard about even undertaking. How do you clear my good name from a criminal record you did not commit ?
Get a new lawyer...you will have to fight it in court.
I would try to get a new lawyer. The court appointed are not always the best. They are usually overloaded with too many cases to take time with each case. The system is overloaded.
