My mic constantly buzzes when I record. It was clear before I used speech recognition?

I have Vista 64 bit and my mic (a logitec usb headset) was working perfectly until I did the speech recognition test (friend said it wasnt good enough). Now all it does is make static and buzzing sounds. How do i fix this?My mic constantly buzzes when I record. It was clear before I used speech recognition?

There are a few things you could try to help resolve this problem


1. Check that the microphone cable is all the way in.


2. Check you have the latest drivers for your sound card


3. go into the sound panel and i think its under advanced settings for your microphone check whether boost is turned on, having mic boost can sometimes cause distortions

Try checking the connection.Also, you may have placed the mic such that it is disturbed very often.Try placing it in a place where objects or hands or legs do not touch it other than while using it. Also turn off or mute the mic when not using it.
