How do I clear Somthing off my record? For a checking account.?

I wanna open a Checking account but they said I have somthing on there thats from an account that has been paid in the chex system and they can't open a checking account but they can open a savings...How do I clear Somthing off my record? For a checking account.?
I ran into that myself years ago. I didn't have anyone to give me advice so I waited it out and eventually, it came off my credit report. Knowing what I know now, I would have handled it differently. If the item is paid, dispute it. Say it isn't yours, tell them to prove that the account actually belongs to you. Thing is, they already got their money - that's all they care about. In order for them to keep it on your report they would have to research it, copy it, send it off to the Bureau, etc... Once it's been paid, many times, creditors won't go to that expense. They just let it pass and clear off your report.

There are a lot of people on here that will tell you that if an account is legitimate, there is no way to get it off your report. That idea is just not true. I've been repairing credit for some time now, and I see these items come off of reports all the time.

Good luck to you!How do I clear Somthing off my record? For a checking account.?
I would suggest getting the number for Chex systems. The bank or financial institution that denied you a checking account should have given you written notification, either at the time you were there or sent it to you. Normally, if you have a letter from that bank (on bank letterhead) stating that you have satisfied your debt or charged off account, they'll let you open up a checking account. They may not let you have a check card or debit card for a certain period, usually 6 months or so, until they see that you're going to keep your account in good standing. Good luck...
ask them if they have a number for u to call. you probably have to pay it off to get it cleared off or if u had an old checking account u might have a balance due, like old charges
I was on Chex Systems, and still am. Once with Washington Mutual, and another time with Bank of America. Unfortunently, Washington Mutual will not take you off chex systems. You have to wait 5 years. I was able to get a checking, and savings account at a credit union. Try searching for local credit unions in the area. They are more likely to open a checking account for you. If that doesn't work, and you need a way to deposit your paycheck into an account, go to www.wiredplastic.com You can have your paycheck go directly on the card, just like a checking account. Good luck!
Are you aware of what they are referring to or is this news to you? You need to find out exactly what is keeping them from opening a checking account for you. It is possible that it belongs to someone else; this is especially common if you have a common name. The same thing happened to me a few years ago and once I investigated found that the account that had been reported to Chex System wasn't even mine. So investigate first. GOOD LUCK
There's some options that you can do

1. You can try to dispute it with ChexSystems

2. You can find a ';2nd Chance Bank'; click here and search for one in your state
