Ask your Attorney if Diversion is option in your case. In meantime you might find some answers at forum site below. the experts there can answer your questions without judgment or sarcasmI was caught shoplifting from sears, i live in california, and am 14, how do i clear my record?
When you turn 18 your records are automatically sealed and I think after 7 years they are destroyed anyway...

That's what the judge told me. I was in a situation similar to yours about 10 years ago in Ontario, CA.
At gae 18 your local records become blocked from casual searches. However, they will remain on the FBI database and as a result will be visible to any Federal records search for the rest of your life.
It goes away at 18. Plus that might have just been for their records, not the police.
