Does someone know how to clear an accident from my insurance record if I didn't have that accident?

I'm trying to get a new vehicle insurance policy, but the broker is telling me that an accident shows up on my record in 2006. I'm 100% sure that I didn't have that accident. How can I delete it from my record?Does someone know how to clear an accident from my insurance record if I didn't have that accident?
There are 2 places it could be, on your CLUE report or on your MVR. If it is on your CLUE report, get a printout, it will show the car involved, the driver involved %26amp; what was paid. If it is incorrect, go back to the insurer at the time it occurred %26amp; dispute it with them. They are the ones that would have to send the correction to Choice Point who handles the CLUE reports. Your old insurer can write you a letter stating you and/or your vehicle were not involved in the accident on that date.

If it is on your MVR, go to the DMV in your state, find out the incident # %26amp; the town it occurred, go to the police dept in that town %26amp; get a copy of the police report. Give a copy of this police report to the DMV to correct your motor vehicle report %26amp; give a copy to your insurer to prove it was not your accident.

Good luck to you.Does someone know how to clear an accident from my insurance record if I didn't have that accident?
You'd need to call that insurance company, and talk to the underwriting department, or adj that was assigned to file to have it removed if its not you.. The new insurance company is running your info thru a system called CLUE, it deals with insurance claims on a persons record..
go to your DMV and see if you can not have a copy of your Motor Vehicle report then take it to your Broker and then have them fax it in to the insurance company that you are going to be with they will not charge you for the accident hopefully
Well it could be showing on your driving record or your insurance record. You need to get a copy of each and talk to whichever one shows it and work on getting it removed.
Go to DMV get a print out of your record to see what's there, If it is and it's not you dispute it with DMV.
Check w/ the DMV and they can guide you in the direction you need to go.
Go to DMV. Talk to them and they could probably change it if they notice a mistake. If not then you might have to fight them about it
