someone told me 7 yrs but i need to know so i can get it done. it is hard to find work when u have a felony on my record. i have changed my ways and i want to have a normal life again. it has been 5 yrs since i have been in jail . please help ????How long can i wait until i can clear my criminal record?
It depends on your state. In some states, you can apply for a pardon in as little as a year. In Texas, forget it. It's never coming off, and you will never get a full pardon, expungement, or anything else. They don't care if you are Mother Teresa. This is a state that executes people AFTER DNA proved they didn't do it.....How long can i wait until i can clear my criminal record?
Felonies never 'go away.'
The only thing you can do is demonstrate that you have reformed and allow enough time to pass that people will believe that you truly have reformed.
felonies and misdemeanors last forever.you might be able to get misdemeanors expunged but felonies last your lifetime
Simple...when you come to the question ';have u ever had a felony'; just mark ';NO';...they will not check
dont think felonies go away dear. that means no votin or gun toten
