How can I clear my record of a misdemeanor?

When I had just turned 19 I stole a pair of $80 work boots from a dept. store in New Hampshire. I was charged, banned from the store for 2 years and fined a considerable amount of money. I'm 21 now and have an excellent job. I just can't stop thinking about the fact that I have a misdemeanor on my record. As good as my job is now, I can't help but worry about the possibility of it affecting my future. Is it possible to have this removed from my record???How can I clear my record of a misdemeanor?
Yes you can do it. It is called expunged. You will need an attorney to get this done though. Now if after you get this done, you will still be leaving a 'footprint'; of some sort which could prevent you from getting a job like with the FBI or something like that. You can still be president of the USA though. How can I clear my record of a misdemeanor?
Not really - the point of a criminal conviction is that it's etched in stone, it can't be removed. You may be able to minimize this by staying out of trouble for a while (like more than 2 years), and by being up front with any employers or anybody else.

You might want to keep paperwork handy about the case so employers (yeah, I know you have a job...for now) or any other important and interested parties can know what the case was about. I doubt anybody's going to want to turn you away for a simple crime like that, but your record may not adequately describe the offense - a petty larceny misdemeanor can be a minimal crime or a reduced version of a larger larceny the DA wasn't in the mood to prosecute.
I don't live in your country so I can't truthfully answer your question. If there is such a possibility, I doubt that only 2 years following the charge is going to permit such undertaking. So at least you knew you were going to be using the boots. Did you tell that to the people that were so gracious as to hire you? I wouldn't be worrying so much about the future if I was you. Be very grateful for that which you have now!
While you were being arrested they put a chip under your skin, like a feral dog, containing all the details of your arrest and subsequent conviction. You could try and fish it out using a crochet hook but that could leave unsightly pits in your skin as you scratch desperately, trying to wash away your dirty dirty past. Wash wash wash scrub scrub scrub, but it won't go away, no, not ever, the filth is on you, IN you. There is only one answer. And you know what that is.
